The third-party intervention is an institute ruled by Civil Procedural Law, and the purpose of this article is to analyze whether the said institute is compatible with the Labor Procedure Law, given that there is no expressed provision in the Consolidation of Labor Laws. In order to proceed with the analysis of the proposed problem, it is assumed the understanding that the Civil Procedure Code is applied subsidiarily to the labor process, as expressly authorized by arts. 769 of CLT and 15 of CPC. The present research also relied on the jurisprudential, legislative and doctrinal study to conclude the analysis on the admissibility or not of this institute arising from the common process to the specialized procedural sphere. It concludes that there is applicability of the modalities of third-parties intervention, provided that they meet the peculiarities of the labor process, since there was an adaptation to be applied in another field. Therefore it concludes that the third-party intervention can be very useful for the labor process, since there are several benefits, such as procedural economics, as well as the standardization of decisions, among others.
